Democratic Manifesto

As Chaffee County Democrats we love this county and are dedicated to
making it better. Toward that end:

We support the protection of human rights of all peoples, their right to work, participate in their governance, practice their religion of choice, to speak out and to be secure in their persons.
We demand open and transparent government.
We advocate for environmental protections and aggressive research to develop renewable energy sources.
We advocate for a comprehensive health care system available to all people.
We expect that employers and employees will maintain high standards of performance with mutual respect for the rights of each and that each will receive fair compensation for their contribution.
We insist on a properly supported public education system open to all. Standards and Content should fully address the sciences, humanities and arts, all of which are essential to the development of full human potential and, thus the complex requirements of our democracy.
