SUMMARY:Door Knocking in Buena Vista — Wednesday\, October 28
DESCRIPTION:With eight days to go we’re making a big push in Buena Vista. Join us at 1:00 p.m. at The Blend\, 301 E. Main (across from Crave) and stay as long as you can. Most folks are planning on 1 to 4. \nConsuelo is leading and State Representative Javier Mabrey is driving down to knock doors with us. \nIf you’ve been put off by canvassing before\, this is the one to try. So many Chaffee County voters have already returned their ballots that we’ve recut every turf down to about 20 doors — an hour’s work\, start to finish. No literature drops\, just real conversations with neighbors about getting their ballots in. \nBring comfortable shoes and a phone. We’ll handle the rest.

SUMMARY:Phone Bank from Home — Thursday\, October 29
DESCRIPTION:4:00 to 6:00 p.m.\, on Zoom. No driving\, no doorsteps. \nWe’re getting out the vote by phone\, and the state party is giving us their dialer. It skips every disconnected number and voicemail and connects you only to people who actually pick up. The script is on your screen the whole time. \nHere’s how it works: we gather on Zoom to get everyone set up\, then everyone mutes and starts dialing. Stay on the call so you can unmute and ask a question any time you hit something you’re not sure about. You’ll need a phone and a computer: the phone for the call\, the computer for the script. Your own number stays hidden from the people you’re calling. \nNever done this before? We’ll walk you through it. \nRSVP with your email and we’ll send you the Zoom link.

SUMMARY:Phone Bank & Pizza Party — Sunday\, November 1
DESCRIPTION:Noon to 2:00 p.m. in Nathrop. Two days out. Last push. \nAlex is opening his place for the final phone bank of the campaign and there will be pizza. Bring a phone and a laptop or tablet. We’ll put you in a quiet corner with a script and point you at the dialer. An hour of calls goes faster than you’d think\, especially with company. \nEveryone dialing at the same time actually makes the system run faster so a full house means more voters reached. \nThe house is in Nathrop\, conveniently halfway between Buena Vista and Salida. RSVP and we’ll send you the address.
