Please join us at our Annual Chaffee County Democratic Fundraiser on May 10th. Chaffee needs you NOW, and we are making a difference. Democratic Commissioners such as Keith Baker and P.T. Wood have driven positive change in Chaffee, including a new Land Use Code, and the upcoming new Recycling center.

Last year’s Fundraising event, featuring Representative Brittany Pettersen and Colorado House Speaker Julie McCluskie and attended by 105 people, contributed directly to our resounding local success in the polls.

Our local 2024 election highlights include:

• Achieving an 86% voter turnout in the county!
• (Re)electing women to office at 3 levels of government:
  • Representative Pettersen, House Speaker McCluskie, and freshman County Commissioner Gina Lucrezi.
• Electing 2 new Democratic County Commissioners, Dave Armstrong and Gina Lucrezi
• Voting predominantly for Kamala Harris.

According to researcher Dave Wasserman, Chaffee was “Among the very few places where Harris improved on Biden’s ’20 margins.” We were +6.8 in Nov. 2024! While much of the country turned red, Chaffee became significantly more blue in 2024!

The proposed line-up of speakers features local politicians including our 3 Democratic County Commissioners, PT Wood, Dave Armstrong, and Gina Lucrezi. We also have commitments, pending schedule changes, from: US Representative Brittany Pettersen, CO Senator James Coleman – President of the CO Senate, CO House Speaker Julie McCluskie, plus Colorado Democratic Party Chair, Shad Murib. Finally we have commitments for recorded addresses from Attorney General Phil Weiser and Senator Mike Bennet.
