Message from the Chair
As we wind down 2025, let us remember that we are still careening headfirst into another election season! Lately, I have heard some folks say that politics has no business in local elections. It’s difficult to wrap my head around that. How our schools, county offices, and municipalities are run and the decisions that are made in these institutions is extremely important. The Chaffee County Democrats support progressive ideas and we support and promote candidates that share those same ideas.
And with that said, let’s concentrate on filling some upcoming, important volunteer positions so Chaffee County will continue to stay on track. Current openings include positions on the Chaffee County Planning Commission and Chaffee Common Ground Board. Additionally, there is a seat on the Salida School Board that will open at the end of this year due to a resignation. You can do your part to serve your community and make Chaffee County shine. In the meantime, thanks to all that attended our holiday get together, a good time was had by all!
